รายวิชานี้มุ่งเน้นให้นักศึกษาเข้าใจในภาพรวมและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างงานวิศวกรรมการทาง วิศวกรรมการจราจร และวิศวกรรมการขนส่ง ประยุกต์ใช้วิธีการทางเศรษฐศาสตร์ในการวางแผนและคัดเลือกเส้นทางที่เหมาะสม สามารถออกแบบเชิงเรขาคณิตของแนวทางถนน เข้าใจการเลือกใช้งานวัสดุก่อสร้างทาง สามารถออกแบบผิวทางลาดยางและผิวทางคอนกรีต และเข้าใจกระบวนการการบำรุงรักษาทาง
This subject aims to make the students understand the overview and relationship of highway engineering, traffic engineering and transportation engineering; apply economic methods to plan and select optimal route; design the geometry of road alignments; understand the selection of highway materials; design the flexible pavement and rigid pavement; and understand the process of highway maintenance.
