Knowledge of history, society, culture and tourism resources in the Andaman coastal area; positive and negative impacts of tourism on society, economics, culture and natural resources in the Andaman coastal area; development of social awareness and sustainable tourism.

Course description: Independent study on a topic; oral report; supervised research and thesis writing in English or in French.

Objectitves: After completion, students will be able to

1. apply knowledge of research methodology that students have learned into actual practice.

2. present, analyze, and discuss research findings.

CHINESE WRITING I

Vocabulary and expressions necessary for hotel staff, reservation, front desk, housekeeping, in-room dining service, restaurant, spa and health service centre; giving brief explanation about services in hotels

This course aims to study and practice English listening and speaking skills appropriate for conversation and communication with tourists at different situations ie greeting, self-introduction, appointment and official contacts using emails, information services; the use of English for welcoming, service facilitating, problem solving, and creating impressive services for clients.
